Akamuti - Virgin Wildcrafted Shea Butter

 Ciao a tutti, oggi, giornata di sole permettendo, vi scrivo le mie opinioni sul prodottino che vedete in alto in foto. Si tratta del burro di karitè puro  (e lavorato a freddo) della Akamuti, lo trovate su eNatural  e in molti altri siti italiani e non, è un brand molto diffuso. Ho provato solo un paio di cose di questo marchio e non mi sono ancora fatta un'idea precisa di tutto il range di prodotti, però i prezzi sono accessibili (9 euro e 49 per il barattolino da 140 gr di burro) e il packaging è molto curato, ideale anche se volete fare un regalo a qualcuno =)
Torniamo al nostro burro.. Per prima cosa vorrei chiarire subito che il burro di karitè, quello vero e organico al 100% non è profumato! Non ha nemmeno un aparvenza di profumo, quindi se avete in casa prodotti con profumi paradisiaci che millantano di contenere burro di karitè in elevate percentuali, beh... Sicuramente non sono puri, e di karitè ne hanno visto ben poco. Detto ciò, trovo che questo burro sappia da olio alimenare, ha un odore che non saprei nemmeno definire bene, sicuramente non floreale. C'è anche a chi piace, però io non sono tra le fan. 

Se superate lo scoglio dell'odore però il burro di karitè è una tra le sostanze più nutrienti per la pelle in assoluto. Il burro della Akamuti si presenta come un panetto solido di color giallino, molto duro al tatto, ma basta "grattarne via" una nocciolina e comincerà subito a sciogliersi a contatto con la pelle. 
Va massaggiato bene, però non lascia la pelle troppo unta e il risultato è stupendo, una vera coccola! Pelle morbidissima ed elastica anche il giorno dopo che l'avete applicato e risultati molto buoni anche sulla pelle secca dei piedi, purchè siate costanti e lo applichiate tutti i giorni o quasi!
Che dire, è un burro che consiglio sicuramente a chi ha la pelle secca, però continuerò nella ricerca di un prodotto che riesca a conciliare un profumo decente con una buona dose di karitè... Vi terrò aggirnati sulla ricerca ;)

As you can see above from the pic, I'm gonna talk about a very natural, super basic and famous product today: the shea butter, of course the complete organic one.
In this case I've been using the butter from Akamuti, a complete natural brand I use to buy on a couple of italian sites especially Ecco Verde, but I guess you can find this brand easily also in international e-commerce sites.
I actually tried just a couple of things from this brand so I still don't have a complete idea about the whole product range. INCIs are great and packaging it's really nice and colorful. The prices also are not bad, 9,49 euros for 140 gr jar.
When it comes to talk about the butter, I maybe better clarify a thing: shea butter doesn't smell good. So if you have this idea of super creamy lotions with paradise scent, well... Those are not shea butter, or at least they just have a very little amount of it inside!

The original shea butter (and I'm not talking just about Akamuti one) it's a very thick-light yellow-solid butter with... I don't even know how to explain it... food smell. Or kitchen oil smell.. Something like that. Someone does like it but I'm not a fan. In any case, if you survive to the smell, you'll find this butter is really nourishing and with just a small amount you can hydrate large part of your body and feel the difference the day after too: skin is soft and elastic and very nourished. Consider this butter as a winter cocoon, I think it's too oily and "thick" for warm season but it depends on your skin type. 
I have to say I liked its effects on my body skin (it's very effective on foot dry skin too, but you have to be very constant and use it every day after your shower), but not it's smell... I'm keeping searching for a shea butter based product with a better smell... We'll see.
